As a well-respected player versed in rock, pop, metal, blues, R&B and funk, bassist/vocalist Doug Odell made his bones in countless original and cover projects before joining prog metallists Ice Age in 2001. Doug entered the group shortly prior to the release of their second full-length for the Magna Carta label. Later known as Soulfractured, the Long Island quartet set about reinventing themselves -- in a heavier, more song-oriented direction. After an extended period of intense writing/recording/demo shopping, the band parted ways towards the end of 2006.

Before, during and since, Odell has made a reputation for himself as a first-call recording session and live musician-for-hire on projects as varied as musical comedy, full-band backed hip-hop and acoustic pop.

Doug got his first exposure to music at a very young age, working in the family business. This particular musical mafia happened to be in the highly specialized trade of pipe organs -- where Odell quickly found himself holding keys and tuning pipes with his father. Pounding out rock music on these massive instruments inspired Doug to study piano with private teachers. Fate would ultimately lead Odell to pursue his passion and true calling; BASS. Instruction with private teachers soon followed. While Doug focused on developing his 4-string chops, professional voice lessons honed his soaring tenor.
